The monarch butterflies El Rosario

The trees are covered in thousands of monarch butterflies

The sky was full of monarch butterflies

Yep, in Moreila for another night. I understand from some locals that the grenade thrown into the crowd in September was pay back to the President of Mexico who is cracking down on the drug cartels. The President (and I understand many more in the past) come from Moreila.

the Monarch butterfly sanctuary was amazing. We left about 9.00am and arrived back at 9.00pm and then I went for coffee with a couple of Canadians. It was a great crowd. Some things were a little chaotic, but that is the Mexican way (the other vehicle had three break downs).

I´ve uploaded a couple of photos but the computer is so slow. Unfortunately the photos don´t capture the share numbers of butterflies, literally millions.

Tomorrow I return to Mexico City. I plan to go to the pyramids the next day and then I meet up with my tour.

Today is a down day (although I walked for three and half hours this morning). I getting washing done, trying to sort out a camera charger (I left my adaptor in Queretaro and I can´t find one here) and other mundane but essential things.
