| hello, this is my first time back on the computer in a long time. it is actually jan 3,2009 and it is getting hard to remember what we did this far back. but after looking at our pictures we were able to figure it out. granada is a cool tourist town with lots to see. so sonya and i decided to go on the full day tour. It started with a boat tour of the islands on lake. there is over 360 of them and most of them have houses and vacation cotages on tham. we stoped at an island with a old restored fortress on it and sawe a island with monkeys on it. after that we got on a bus to go see the local volcano. ther was a total of 5 craters, and one was active. we got some great views from the top of the volcanos. next we went to a small town with a artisan market were we eat lunch and bought some trinkets. then we took another van ride to a lookout point to see a large crater lake that was 400m below us and 200m deep, and very clear water. however the guide said he had never seen the weather like it was that day, because it was extremly foggy and we didn"t see a thing. the last stop on our tour was to go see a potter, make pots the traditional way. this was cool, and the price of the pots in the shop was cheep, so we bought a nice one. that{s it for this day, we are off to a island made of two volcanoes tomorow. |
