Bend is praying for snow

Great sleigh rides but we are waiting to ride in the snow....

We are having a wonderful time in Bend. Christmas is our favorite time of the year and Bend REALLY knows how to make it special. We have gone to two tree lighting, watched sleigh rides, watched a boat parade at night with all the boats decorated with lights etc. The next morning was the town parade, which was awesome!!! It was packed with everything from llamas dressed up like Rudolph to tons of old cars decorated to the max.. It lasted over 1 hour just watching floats and more go by. I am adding a ton of pictures for you to see it.

We have not had any snow since we got here and that is really unusual. As a matter of fact they said it's the first time in over 30 years they waited this late for the snow. They even have people on the news asking for people to pray for snow. The people who work at Mount Bachelor and the other ski resorts are out of work until they get snow. We did go up to Mount Bachelor and saw a few flurries but we are ready for some real snow. :-)

This is the first time Jerry has been off from work for the Christmas season. He has taken a week off from work at times but now we have all the time in the world to do what we want. We are enjoying it as much as two young teenagers. haha I think we picked the perfect town for Christmas. I hope you enjoy the pictures. More later from Bend.
