The 100 steps down to the beach resort!

by Lora

We visited our family's beach resort on Samal Island for an overnight stay. Along with us from Tagum came a pig from their piggery - to serve as our dinner (sorry vegetarian friends reading this). It was the first time we were able to witness a pig roast, which was interesting. You'd think it would take longer to cook a whole pig, but it only took about 1.5 hours over the blazing fire. I have to admit - it was quite tasty.

Swimming, eating, hammock laying, reading, boating - lots of really stressful stuff going on :) We had a nice time meeting new friends, Tita Lydia and Anthea, old family friends of my aunt and uncle.

Thank you, Tita Aida, Ate Grace, Kuya Boggie, Ate Daisy, and family for a wonderful time in Mindanao. We treasure each moment spent with you!
