Toby-Sue Trip to the Gulf of Mexico 09-10 travel blog

We have been repeating some of the places we have been, taking people to see them, so I won't bore you with that.

We did, however, have an interesting experience in Mexico. It is just across the border at Columbus.

As some of you may know, Sue had a filling fall out about a week ago. Rather than drive home, wait a month for an appointment, and pay $300, we went to Mexico. It was Sue's decision. I didn't force her.

It was a place everyone down here goes to, and came highly recommended. It is a husband and wife team, very young, but very friendly. Sue feels it was a very good filling, it looks beautiful and feels good. It costs $50, because as Wanda (the dentist) says, it was a big filling, and it was. Good thing it wasn't a root canal and crown. That would have cost $300. All of the diplomas showed they were trained in the U.S.

Anyway, that was our big adventure yesterday. We also looked around, and had a really good Mexican lunch. Huge and delicious, $9.00, with a very generous tip.

Don't know what is on the agenda for the rest of the week. I think Sue needs a painting fix, so we'll see. There is an artists and crafters get-together 3 days a week, but, I have never seen anyone down there. Everyone is out ramming around in the desert.

Last night on pbs, we saw a show called "Remembering Earth", if you see it, you will see why we love this area. It is about the deserts of New Mexico.

Well, have a great week, we will update later.

Love and miss you all.
