| 08-15-2007 Gettin' a Move On
Wednesday, August 15, clouds settle in early and the whole day stays cooler. I slowed my walk down this morning to give my back a break. I mailed my letters from my correspondence session earlier this morning and got a newspaper by the office. The older couple who was next to us over a week ago but had moved down the row a ways, was packing up to leave this morning. Their son was helping them get it all hooked up.
After breakfast tacos I packed up three loads of laundry. I wanted to do the quilts before we go since the machines are so good here. We used the laundry in back this time since it was empty when we drove by with the trash. Bob dropped me off and went to get The Beast washed and filled up with gas. He returned to help me fold clothes as dark clouds rolled in and the wind whipped up a cooling breeze that cleared out the hot air. We got the laundry home just before the rain started to fall. It was a good thing because we had the windows open. But the rain didn't amount to much after all.
We cleaned leftovers out of the refrigerator for lunch. I worked on more correspondence, journal pages and photos while Bob got some things checked out for the move. I went out to help him air up the tires. A chatty little girl arrived next door with her grandparents in a Montana 5th wheel. She's a pistol.
I spent the rest of the day and evening catching up journal pages--clear through until 10:30 p.m. except for an evening walk and stretch. I can't believe we're leaving in the morning after two months here! I'm looking forward to new digs.
It's 11:06 p.m. and 70.7 degrees. The high was 81 and the low was 67.
