Duane & Jo's U.S. and Canada Tour: 2008 travel blog

We felt so much better when we saw this sign after we...

Wednesday evening on the lake.

Sunrise as seen from our RV, 11-6.

A pretty view on our bike ride.

The bike trail crossed sensitive wetland areas.

Thursday evening sunset

Friday morning sunrise.

Gulf State Park is a great campground in Gulf Shores, AL. It is on a lake, surrounded by a mixed pine forest just 1/4 of a mile from the white sands and blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We had a lakeside campsite, and spent several hours riding the bike trails around the park. Gulf Shores is a newly developed area and we thought it would have been a nice place to spend a couple of weeks. Our schedule calls for us to be in New Orleans so we are off to the Big Easy.
