We spent the day doing laundry, paying bills and cleaning up. Yes, you still have to do those things. We needed the rest anyway.
We did go to the Geronimo Musuem in Truth or Consequences N.M. That was interesting. Then we went to the replica of the Viet Nam Wall. We located Jim Hamlets name. He was a friend of mine killed in Viet Nam in 1967. There are sure a lot of names there. It really makes you stop and think of how many lifes were lost over there.
There are hots springs all over T or C. They are said to have healing powers, and people come from all over the world to soak in them. Sue wants me to go in them, but I am feeling quite well.
Truth or Consequences used to be called Hot Springs, until Ralph Edwards wanted a town to change its name to match the name of a new t.v. show he wanted to start. Hot Springs won the contest, and changed their name to T or C (as the locals call it).
There is so much western history here, I just love it. I think I should have lived in the wild west! YeeHaa!
Miss you !!!
