This afternoon I went with Bill and Lenora Clyde and Lynne Shaw to the outlet malls. I didn’t actually need anything but decided to buy some “unmentionables” at the L’eggs/Hanes/Bali/Playtex store instead of ordering online or by phone as I usually do. The others were buying Christmas gifts. Some of our group had spent nearly all day shopping there!
Before dinner, we had our group picture taken. Then we went to Mamacita’s to eat. The food was okay but the service was good.
After dinner we met back in the club room, where several of us told about some noteworthy experiences during our travels. Then we voted on the person who most deserved the “Dim Bulb” award. Lynne Shaw was the winner, with two nominations! (1) She had requested that we think about the noteworthy experiences to share with the group but, by the time of the rally, she had forgotten about it. (2) She had given the drivers of the cars written driving directions to Aquarena Park. She was in the lead car but led our driver astray. Everyone else had arrived at Aquarena Park ahead of us.
We were especially happy that Richard and June Hoyle were able to attend the rally. June had donated one of her kidneys to their daughter. Sadly, the daughter is not doing well in spite of the fact that the kidney is working well. She is having a difficult time right now. The Hoyles needed a break.
These last few days have just flown by. Everyone will be leaving tomorrow morning.
