Corn Stalks

Corn Cob

Corn Cob #2

Corn Cob #3

While staying in Greenwood, Nebraska we visited Boys Town, the National Museum of Roller Skating, and Fort Atkinson State Historical Park. We also did some antiquing. Before helping to hook-up the car, I took some pictures of the drying of the corncobs still on the stalks. There was a cute little rabbit hopping around the area. We left Pine Grove RV Park at 10:26 am with it being 70˚, cloudy, humid, and very windy. The roads were better. Romeo once again came and sat on his rug between us. We began by going east on Mynard Road, turned right onto NE 63, and then merged onto I-80 West. We took Exit 318 onto NE 2, which became S B Road. All but 2 of our 105 miles were on the freeway. The wind had been stronger than the day before. Rick had a hard time keeping us in a straight line! We were really weaving! It would probably be this way in the next 4 states we visited. About 4 miles from our Park it began to sprinkle. We drove into Grand Island KOA in Doniphan, Nebraska at 12:12 pm. It was 72˚, cloudy, sprinkles, and we had continued strong winds. The site numbers were on posts facing the neighboring site so we drove into site 83 instead of 82. After some backing-up we were finally parked. At first MotoSat found the 89 West satellite but then the motor stalled. It only took a few manual adjustments to lock on. With the strong wind the TV kept being knocked off but finally everything worked well. We had been having a gnat problem. I looked up ways to naturally get rid of them. There were several suggestions. Then I worked on some house plans. Rick enjoyed having time to do some browsing for places to stay, some maintenance issues, and general RV information.
