Hello from the "Land of Enchantment" (i.e. New Mexico)
We are the only people in this Elk's RV Park - altho some might come in later - not everyone gets off the road as soon as we do. (Barely got this typed when 4 rigs pulled in. Then one more about an hour later.)
We've also caught up with summer again. It is 86 and not a cloud in the sky. This is the Elks Lodge that has the swimming pool, too - but they closed it on Labor day.
I had an "AHA" moment today when I realized that I could see FOREVER!! We noticed especially in MO and AR and eastern OK that we seemed closed in with trees along the road where we couldn't see the horizon - and now we can.
I've been reading the "Outback Saga" a series of books about Australia by Aaron Fletcher. In the books, the author tries to explain how different the outback is from the towns and farms. He says the "spirit" of the land is different and that is just how I feel. I feel free-er, and lighter and somehow more optimistic.
Well enough deep thinking - time to kick back and have something cold to drink.
