Drove north today on hwy 89 through the Navajo reservation, which takes up a huge section of northeast Arizona. Lots of jewellery and pottery stands.
Southern Utah was really beautiful to drive through .. more canyons and cool rock formations. Lots of red rock glowing in the afternoon sun. There are interesting-looking little places that I'd like to stop at, but don't want to take the time. I need to cover a certain amount of ground every driving day. Some other time maybe? I see an RV in my future :) with an espresso-maker on board!
Not the swankiest hotel tonight, but I'm right outside the park gate. More hiking tomorrow..
