October 1st: It doesn't seem possible. We had a perfectly beautiful day here in the Ozarks. It was clear and sunny, cool in the shade, but not too warm sitting in the sunshine. Jules even enjoyed getting up in the front window and napping. There are not a lot of people in the park and it really is quiet here, so she is more relaxed.

We had a mostly quiet day in camp today since both John and I felt a little under the weather. Neither of us slept very well last night and we just didn't feel perky. I don't think it was anything we ate, but rather some kind of bug and I think that mine related to some stress I have experienced in the past couple of days. I spent late morning napping and didn't eat very much, while John sat outside and read. After last night's feast, I didn't think I would need to eat ever again!

This afternoon, we went over to Syble's to visit and watch Oprah. We were going to try to go out to another show today, but we just didn't feel like doing it. Instead, we took Syble out to dinner at a new steakhouse here in Forsyth. I had steak and Syble and John both had ribs. My dinner was pretty good and John liked his, however, Syble said her ribs were too well done and she could hardly eat them.

After dinner, we went back and watched another tv show and visited some more. Syble showed me pictures of my father's 90th birthday party and her recent trip to the Holy Land. She is also sewing quilts and dresses for charity. She always keeps busy doing something useful.

Tonight it is supposed to be cooler, down to around 43 degrees, which I like because I always sleep better when it is cool. Hopefully, we will be more productive tomorrow since we both feel better tonight.
