Glasgow University. Damn, I'm good at the artsy shots ;-)

Well after being woken up by 4 kids running up and down the stairs and screaming, I knew I should get up and make an appearance. It was one of those nights where you drink and drink, but just don’t get drunk. That was fine by me!

After breakfast (cheese, tomatoes, croissants, pate’, tea and oj) we all got ready and headed out to downtown Glasgow. The weather in Glasgow changes every 2 hours. So as we got downtown, it started to rain. We opted out of the open top tour bus and Gary and Sharon drove me around to all the local areas. I think it was probably the best way to see the city. It was a wonderful way to top off the weekend with them.

We all went back to the house and proceeded to take a 2 hour nap. All 5 of us. A well needed break from the loooong day of sightseeing. I just wanted to take it easy, and they were completely fine with that, so we ate leftovers, watched X Factor (damn I’m gonna miss that show when I come back) and drank a few beers. Gary was on a local show called Taggert (think Law and Order, but with more core, and bad theme music). And there was a documentary on that was paying tribute to the show and the fact it’s been on for 25 years. It was pretty cool to watch it with someone who knew a lot of the actors that are still on the show. Very surreal.

So once again, a great 2 day trip. So much more to do in Scotland and maybe someday I’ll get back and really do it up. There literally is a pub on every corner. Can you imagine the pub crawl we could do? The12 Bars Of Christmas looks like a tea party!
