You know how much I love Anthony Bourdain, right? Well today we got to try some delicious Balinese pork, at a restaurant he visited on No Reservations. And yes, it was just as good as Anthony promised it would be :). Brenna and Hank, you would have truly loved it.
As we headed out in the evening to visit the famous Monkey Forest, we were stopped by some beautiful, haunting music coming from the Palace. We went to check it out, and it was a complete gamelon percussion group; they were practicing for temple worship. What a treat it was! I took a Musics of the World course in university and we focused a bit on Indonesia--I get it now. The music was so moving that I found myself tearing up--what a gift it was to be in that place at that time. Needless to say, we didn't make it to the Monkey Forest.
