Not much of a castle...but a nice picture nonetheless

Cool mansion at Cerro Santa Lucia in Santiago

On the road in the Andes on the way to Mendoza, Argentina

Believe it or not...The wine was so delicious, I kick the keg!

Amanda had so many "tastes" that she fell asleep smelling this wine

Our last night out in Mendoza together..after consuming much vino!

Hi everyone..back in Argentina, and very happy to be here. I definitely like this country much more than its neighbor, Chile. For one thing, the food here is far superior and of much greater importance..its sooo much cheaper. I felt like I was paying US prices much of the time in Chile!

Anyway, Mendoza is excellent. It's known for producing 80% of the wine in this country. So, Amanda & I followed suit and went on a wine tour. We visited 2 wineries and got the whole schpiel (is that how you spell it?) about how they make their wine and why their wine is the best and why we should buy their wine..of course we didnt buy anything...just tasted the ones they gave to us for free!

We didnt do much else here, except walk around the beautiful tree lined streets and take some walks in the awesome parks they have here. The one thing I can say is that we had, what I believe is the BEST meal that I've had in South America, and perhaps one of the finest steaks I have ever had. If you ever come to Mendoza...go to Don Mario's!!

So, I'm on my own again, as Amanda said goodbye today to return to NYC...we had an amazing time travelling together again...I have a few more weeks to wander around in the Andes, and then to the Atacama desert!..really excited about that..

so...till the next time..chao
