Jetskiing in The Caymans

Wednesday 17th September

Yesterday we spent another day at sea, relaxing on the deck and eating lots of food.

We’ve never been on a cruise ship like this before so it was all a little bit strange to us at first. Where do we go? What do we do? You mean I have to relax??!! You mean I can eat whatever I want, when I want??!! Heaven! ☺

People run around after you, picking up your towels, serving your food and taking away your plates; we could get used to this!

This morning we arrived in the Cayman Islands.

The water is so beautiful and blue it’s hard to believe that it really is the ocean.

We had to catch a tender (boat) to the mainland from the ship and it took us straight to Georgetown, where we browsed around the shops for a while.

Then we caught a taxi to Seven Mile Beach, (which is actually 5 ½ miles long!) where we spent the afternoon swimming in the crystal clear water, relaxing on the beach where the sand is white and soft and Sara and Shayne even went jetskiing.

It was a really lovely afternoon. So if you’re ever in the neighbourhood – drop in – it really is beautiful!!
