many wind turbines in New York State

Our lonely campsite

Beautiful view of the St. Lawrence from our site.

We have really enjoyed driving the back roads. Today we headed north along the east side of Lake Champlain passing through many small towns. We circled around the north side of the lake, and were within a mile of the Quebec border. We traveled west across upstate New York. New York State has been building many wind turbines. I'm sure we saw more than fifty of them in our drive this afternoon. One of our Carriage friends had told us about a nice campground on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River at Lisbon. When we arrived,we met the camp director, who also has a Carriage trailer. He winters in Hudson Florida, another area Glenna and I hope to check out. The only other trailer in the campsite was another Carriage. They have been here all summer, but leave tomorrow for Pennsylvania. It's very quiet here tonight.
