Hi All,
Ok so we ran into a few issues in Namibia. We won't get into it all now but I have the email I sent to the travel agent with 13 points of problems we ran into. Nothing major just headaches and hassles but we did almost miss our flight back to Cape Town. I guess 15min prior to an international flight is not enough time to arrive and check in????
Anyways, we had the most amazing flight in a 6 seater plan down the Atlantic coast and miles and miles of sand dunes. They vary in color from cream to RED!!! This was the most amazing thing we have ever seen. It was worth the hassle.
Then we arrived at the lodge which was first class!!! It was really nice. Can't wait to show you the pictures of the bungalow/tent that we slept in. Mom was scared the whole time that we would see snakes or scorpions, but I told her not to worry as the heyanas (sp?) would surley eat them before us....just kidding well not really but grandma is reading this.
We went in an open jeep 4x4 touring around the dunes. We saw Dune 45 (which for those of you who have a sand dune as your screen saver that it is...or that is what they told us). We even hiked up the dunes until our feet started burning from the heat of the sun. We were finally warm!!! I actually got a bit of a "tan" currently red in color, but it's not too bad.
We were only there for 2 nights and then we are back to Cape Town.
Talk to you soon,
