Today we left Prague and headed into the rural Czech countryside. We are staying the night in the small village of Trojanovice, located in the mountains in the Northeast of the country. After getting settled into the hotel, we rode a chairlift up to the top of a mountain and did a short hike down a ridge to a restaurant where we had dinner together. It's the end of the tourist season and the place is pretty dead, so they opened the restaurant just for us. We ate a hearty meal of roast pork, potatoes, fried cheese, borscht and of course, beer. The Czech Republic is known for good, cheap beer and people plan their whole trip around drinking large amounts of it. Beer is even cheaper than bottled water! Even though I'm not a big beer fan, believe it or not, I've been drinking quite a bit while here.

Tonight we all got a bit slopped up, which made the buddy intros pretty fun. Peter our guide, dressed up in a traditional folk costume from the area and told us some local folklore, which was pretty funny. A Hungarian guy speaking English in a fake Czech accent (me laugh long time). After dinner we went back to our hotel for dessert and a some folk dancing from a local group.
