| After traveling 266 miles today we stopped at the Stanton, MO KOA campground. We have travelled 1011 miles into our week long trip. Tomorrow we should have another 266 mile day going into Clinton, Indiana. Today we drove in rain most of day but we actually had a bit of sunshine after our arrival here. The campground is named Stanton/Meramec & Crosseyed Cricket Canoe Company. The Meramec is the river that flows nearby and the canoe company puts canoes out on the river. There are about 60 canoes behind our campsite that are sitting idle. They had 2 days of rain here that were the remains of Gustav and the river was high and unsafe to be on right now. Thats why we waited another day before leaving NM. A short post for the day because all we did was drive in the sucky rain. Happy Camping, Bob, Judy and our 2blackdogs |
