Inani Beach near Cox's Bazaar, the world's longest and widest beach, and...
| Cox's Bazaar is basically Bangladesh's number one beach resort, but as this is a muslim country the sun seekers dress very conservately, particularly the women. Beachwear here is a bit like it was in the 1930's back home. If Bangladesh does have a claim to fame it's Inani Beach, its the world's longest (18k's) and broadest (300 metres at low tide. Inani Beach is 30k's away and it's reasonable to assume that there would be some form of developement, not so. I only saw one hotel and that was still under construction and there was only one visitor soaking up the rays: me. Remarkable. Inani beach is unquestionably one of the world's best kept travel secrets. |
