Today was our last day to tour in China and it was a bit anti-climatic. We took the bus to Suzhou where we toured 2 gardens. These gardens are really landscaped estates. The first was The Humble Administrators Garden that was designed during the Ming Dynasty. After lunch we did a bit shorter tour of the Master of the Nets Garden. Both of these are beautiful reconstructions and are UNESCO World Heritage Sites, but it was just too much information to learn about every room, pond and the fengshui of the entire complex. A relaxing lunch with the other tour members who have now become friends was the highlight of our day. We’re ready to be home!

Tomorrow (Tuesday) we leave the Shanghai (Pudong) Airport at about 12:30pm and fly overnight, arriving in San Francisco about 8:30am Tuesday. Yes, because of the international-date-line, we arrive before we’ve left…. In spite of an 11-hour flight! We’ll arrive in Denver at about 3pm. I’m guessing we’ll be sleeping most of the day on Wednesday!
