Day 141 Sunday 31st August Amherst Nova Scotia

After breakfast this morning we took a walk down towards the river and gorge to take a few more pictures in sunshine. The river is a deep coffee colour, so I imagine the tannin has come out of the surrounding vegetation.

We started out drive on a secondary road and saw some lovely farming hamlets, still the corn and cattle follows us. However after morning tea Steve said we weren’t making enough time so we headed back to the freeway, not to worry by this time tomorrow we will be very close to collecting the RV and then we can revert to our usual method of travel including all the scenic routes we want.

The country side was mainly pine forests as far as the eye could see including some pine plantations. The terrain consisted of undulating hills, there were no mountain ranges of any substance to traverse. Nova Scotia and Newfoundland will be the furthest east we will be travelling.

Today we travelled thru Woodstock, Fredericton, Moncton, Sackville them onto Amherst.
