Three flags

Bridge over Miramichi River

The banquet table

This was galley duty morning and I stayed in front of the stove too long. As a result I ended up with a lot of help getting my tent down and packed from other people that wanted to get the truck loaded and get going.

Today was the day that we road over the spine of New Brunswick, so much of the scenery was trees down the side of the road. We are in Acadian country and often see the Canadian, New Brunswick, and Acadian flags flown together. I road the first part of the day with Terry, then did about 25km on my own before joining the "French Connection"(Eve, Graeme, Eric and Yao) for a pace line ride for the final 80km.

The highlight of the ride was going over the high bridge in Miramichi. We then had a picnic lunch under the bridge before heading off toward the campground in a paceline to get Eve to galley duty on time. And speaking of galley duty, the highlight of the day was the lobster dinner tonight.

Laundry is done, journal is being updated, so tomorrow may be bike maintenance and rest.
