| And we're off ! Hurricaine Ike tried to flimflam our vacation plans last night by delivering tornadoes, thunderstorms and flash flooding, including in our basement. Bob worked diligently to mop up the mess and we are under way. Bob tried to explain to me how a hurricaine could affect a landlocked state, but I still don't understand. Bob's recovering from a cold, which he generously shared with me, so it will probably be lots of sleeping for the both of us on the flights. Roma, here we come-a!! (Don't worry, Nellie, I'm wearing my compression stockings! ) Daily review: Lessons learned: When lacing your shoes with laces that didn't come with the shoes, look at them under several sources of light before deciding that they "match perfectly." |
