Beagle Bus Heads up the East Coast travel blog

We left the coast early and headed through South Carolina, North Carlina, and and into the southwestern tip of Virginia. By the time we stopped in Wytheville at the KOA, we could open the windows and sleep with cool night air! It was the first time we could really exercise the last step of our set up checklist: Bring out camp chairs, open a beer and a glass of wine.

So far we've gone 740 miles, with today's 366 miles being our biggest day. This KOA had a trail into the woods, and as we turned a corner two deer leapt off the path. Riley and Megan found this extremely exciting. There was also a dog park with good enough smells to roll in, at least to the dogs. Starting here, we began checking regularly for deer ticks, since they do carry Lyme disease.
