The rig resting at Paa Mul. 1600 miles from the Texas border.

Breakfast in the palm trees, our first morning at Paa Mul

Indi on the Merida-Cancun tollroad. "Are we there yet?"

Our new neighbourhood, Paa Mul.

After an easy, all toll-road day we arrived at 3:30pm this afternoon. Set-up and within 2 hours Dylan was playing in the dirt and racing bicycles with Luke and Jake, two boys who live across the street, while Thomas and I were chatting and drinking beer with their Mum, Veronica, who we know from last time we were here. Lots of new palapas; we are in the site next door to the one we had before, so the same neighbourhood! All is good.

My favorite moment of the drive today... when we passed through a toll-booth on the Merida-Cancun toll road we had to roll slowly past a group of tourists having a bathroom break from their coach trip. And they all looked at us and took out their cameras and started taking photos! Through-out this trip we have been a source of amusement, smiles and exclamations from the people we pass. At Zorros on the Costa Esmarelda a fellow camper was very obviously video-taping our rig, so I opened the door and waved! But I never expected American tourists to be impressed by us. Hey, Thomas and I have been taking this all in our stride and not really thinking of it as a big deal. But maybe we DID have an adventure!
