We spent a week in North Fork, Idaho. That's just north of Salmon. Steve went fishing, and we really had a good time. The Campground was right on the Salmon River. From there, we went north to Missoula, Montana. We had a great spot in a shady campground with potted plants in every imaginable kind of container, from wheelbarrows to miniature conestoga wagons. They even had a good pizza place called the Bridge. We did some sightseeing. There was a ghost town called Garnet. They have the most intact town in the US. The last resident died in 1946, and the Bureau of Land Management took it over in the 70's. Some things are missing, but there is so much to see, with miner's cottages and the old hotel still standing. Unfortunately, we weren't expecting much and we didn't bring the camera.
From Missoula, we went north some more to West Glacier. Our campground is so pretty we will be staying here, 7 miles from Glacier National Park, for 2 whole weeks. Wait 'til you see the rest of the pictures from Glacier!
