I couldn't sleep well last night. For one thing, my feet were freezing even though I was wearing 2 pairs of socks and wrapped my feet in a towel. Add to that the fact that there were some wild, ferral dogs barking by our camp site and it made for a long night.
Today's hike went relatively well though. It was fairly easy, with rolling hills and random inclines here and there, but nothing overly strenuous. At the end of our hike we had lunch, took a short siesta, then posed for pictures with the wonderful cooks and porters who had been feeding and taking care of us so well on the trail.
Afterwards, we boarded a bus to the train station where we caught a train to Agua Calientes or Machu Picchu town. The train ride was wonderful. Our carriage had panoramic views, with glass insets in the room so that you could look out. I'm excited for Machu Picchu tomorrow!
