Family Time
We went to Benton Bible Church this morning for church and to visit with Pastor Perkinson. When we arrived, church service had just ended and they were getting ready to go to Sunday School. They had changed the times around because of the heat in the summer so we had missed sevice. We ended up waiting to talk with Nelson Perkinson for a while. He had done Tom's Dad's Memorial Service and we got to talking with him afterwards about possible mission work we could do while out on the road. We talked a little more about that today then headed out towards home. Sandy and Dallas were going to be at the RV before too long so we'd better go home.
Sandy, Dallas, Riley and Wyatt arrived first. Amie and Brach arrived a little later. We grilled a few more hamburgers and just worked on the leftovers from the other night a little bit more. Riley liked the playground a lot. Wyatt did pretty good. They said he cried all the way over so we expected him to do more of the same but he didn't cry much at all.
We visited until 3:30 or so then they all headed out. We're all going to get together on Tuesday for Amie's birthday. Angel and Eric are going to watch Jonathan for Tom and I on Wednesday night. We're going to go out for dinner in Dubuque to celebrate our 14th anniversary so that will be fun. Jonathan is already teasing us about "going out on a date" as he wrinkles his nose up. Imagine, a whole evening without any conversation during dinner about video games! Sounds good to me.
We ended up relaxing at home tonight. It started raining around 6:00 or a little after so we curled up with a movie and stayed in for the evening.
