I have been without internet for three days, so much for Verizon Broadband! Therefore, we will be posting the past few days all at once, but in individual segments.

Chuck left out early to visit a jobsite in Lakeland and I left around 10:00 with Kevin (my son) and Lisa to go see Shelby at UCF volleyball camp in Orlando. At 1:30 Shelby called and says she wasn't playing in the tournament, and I needed to talk to the "trainer". Who is not really a trainer, but the "sports injury trainer". I was 5 minutes away, so I said I would talk to her when I got there. When I got there, Shelby was crying and her hand/wrist is wrapped. The trainer says, "probably broken" and so our vacation starts. (For those who are reading this and do not know the history behind our . vacations, this is quite typical of what goes wrong while we are on vacation. Charles says we need to start “tricking fate” and leave a week earlier than we plan). Anyways, Sara called and Urgent Care in the UCF area, so we took her there. I wanted it X-rayed before we got on the road. If it was severe, I would not leave. We put Sara on hold until we knew more. You know it is going to be a long wait when you walk into the Dr's office and they are SELLING SNACKS!!! I promise...true story! After waiting for 30 minutes Chuck and Kevin went "scouting" and found an Urgent Care across the street, no waiting. Fortunately, the X-rays did not show a break, so she was wrapped with “wet cast” and told if it was not better in 7 – 10 days, it could be broken and see an orthopedic. I guess the “growth plate looks like a fracture (normally), so it is hard to tell if she broke the growth plate. So, feeling like a heel, I sent her home with Kevin and went on vacation. I guess I won’t be getting “mother of the year”. She was crying and I asked her if it was because she couldn’t play volleyball or because I was leaving? She said “Do I have to answer that question?”

We finally got on the road around 7:00pm.

AJ checked out all of the switches and buttons to make sure they worked before we got started.. He did great! (for the first 40 minutes). Then we let him move around and he was quite happy. We stayed at Pecan Park off exit 366 north of Jacksonville. It was dark and late, so we all just crashed.
