Mark and Nadine's Arctic Expedition travel blog

This was our longest day on the road, clocking some 634 miles as we drove across Ontario from Sault St. Marie to Ottawa, then south into the U.S. at Ogdensburg NY.

Braving some fierce rain as we covered the last few miles, we finally pulled into our cabin (which we call Toad Hall) in Gabriels NY at around 10:30 P.M.

We have had a fabulous trip, well beyond what we could have hoped for. Now, after covering 17,400 miles since we left Binghamton in mid-May, we're looking forward to spending the rest of July here at the cabin, hiking, canoeing, and getting ready to return to our work. (We'll also spend some time editing and perhaps expanding this journal.)

Thanks for taking the time to join us on our trip, through our online journal!
