Well, a somewhat shorter driving day today - just eight hours. Not too bad, though there was a bit more commotion in the car today. We made it to Elkhart, Indiana. As the title of this post indicates, Elkhart and the surrounding area have a big thing to do with campers and trailers in general. It's said that 50% of all trailers and RV's are made right here. We found a KOA here, pretty nice, with pool, rec room, and store. We've stayed at several KOA's on this trip. KOA is kind of like the McDonald's of campgrounds. A big chain, with individual owners (franchisees) around the country. There are a lot of these. Some better than others, but most consistently clean, maintained, and with similar amenities. They are advertised well on the highways so are easy to find.
We're planning to see a few sights around here tomorrow morning, then leave for our final leg back to Rochester. It should be an eight hour trip or so. Our arrival time will depend on when we decide to leave, which is up in the air at the moment.
Wishing you all well. Happy Anniversary, Annie!
