It was another day of prairie riding with more trees and the occasional pond. We overwhelmed the small café in Birtle. They had to send out for more eggs. The town of Shoal Lake welcomed us and invited us to use the facilities in the town hall. Prairie hospitality is awesome.
Manitoba or at the least the parts we are in seems to have far more water and trees than the part of Saskatchewan that we went through. There were also a number of clearly man made structures that looked like straw bird houses in many of the ponds.
This was our first campground with a beach (some have had pools). It was great to swim after a day of riding.
