Pacific Northwest Adventure 2008 travel blog

We spent Monday and Tuesday with Miles and Claire Johnson. Two great days of Golf at their club, Trilogy at Glen Ivy. Two great evenings of visiting and eating (!!!) what great hosts.

Wednesday was a major moving day ... Corona to Patterson, CA to meet up with Lisa and her family. Since we had some 360 miles to cover, we made an early start ... and experienced the chaos of commute traffic on I-15 and I210 through San Bernadino and Pasadena. Once out of the metropolitan LA area, traffic eased and the trip was pretty much uneventfull ... until ....

We booked in at an RV park not far from Lisa's home. When Robin hooked up the city water line, the house water pump decided that it had had enough ... water every where! so we spent the evening/night without running water. Add to that that house batteries seemed to have died, and it was obvious that we needed professional help! But that did not deter our enjoyment of Lisa, Robbie and two of the girls for the afternoon and evening. Athena and Kayla joined Lisa and Robbie in the visit, and we certainly enjoyed their company. It would have been nice to see Sarah and Asia, but circumstances would not permit.

We contacted Camping World in San Martin (just south of San Jose) and were able to secure a service appointment for 8:00 am on Thursday morning. So early in the am. we set sail for San Martin arriving there before the store even opened. When they openened they were most accomodating, getting right on the problems, and getting us back on the road by 11:30 am ...heading for San Jose and The Villages ...
