| Left Scottsdale this morning and had breakfast at Denny's with George. Around 9 AM we went to Payson and saw the "other" house that George and Winnie own. It was very nice. From there we drove up to Sedona and saw the most unbelievable country in the world. Wow was it nice. We had lunch at the Red Planet Diner and to honor our good friend Rich, Larry had the Red Planet Burger. I could not get that high up so I settled for a Turkey Bruger but Rich will be proud of me since I added Pickles, Ketsup and Mustard. We asked the Waitress what we should see in Sedona. That was a bomb as she directed us to a dead end street. Larry went to the Visitors' information center and got a map which did the trick. We went all around Sedona and saw the most incredible scenery. Took pictures until the battery ran out. We are now in Flaffstaff and had a magnificiant ride up 87 ALT to get here. Got a $39 room which is great. The beautify of not traveling with reservations is that we saw a guy come in after us who got a $49 room with his reservation. This is definitely the way to go. We are now going out to visit on of Pugh's restaurants. Grand Canyon tomorrow. |
