Day 11: SaltoJun 26, 2008

| After yet another overnight bus, we succesfully entered a new country: Uruguay. Around 5:30 this morning, we exited the bus and took taxis to the border. We filled out new immigration cards and then we were on our way to our hotel. After checking in, we slept for about 2 hours. We then made arrangements to visit a local spa and the thermal baths in the area. Jill had her first massage, while Kelly had her first pedicure. Neither were comparable to treatments of the same names in the States, but it was nice to relax. We were also able to sit in different thermal pools for a few hours before heading back to the hotel. We then visited the local supermarket and bought supplies for lunch and dinner, as well as snacks for the morning bus ride. We spent a quiet evening at the hotel and went to bed early to get ready for our morning bus ride to Montevideo. |
