Out of the desert now and into the foothills of the Andes to Arequipa, which stands at 2,380m above sea level. So far, our bus trips on ´Jumbo´the tour bus have been entertaining with games of Uno being played on the tables at the back of the bus. Our lunches have been ´do-it-yourself´ lunches off the side of the bus - meat and salad rolls pretty much - anywhere that we can stop!
Arequipa is a city at the foot of El Misti volcano and has the most amazing backdrop. When we got there, it was time to clean ourselves up and Glenn had a snooze as wasn´t feeling too good. We ended up going out for a lovely dinner, where in the end, Glenn wasn´t too crash hot. The rest of the group decided to go out on the town and Glenn pursuaded me to also go. Many drinks, shots, karaoke and latino dancing later; myself, Neil (the Irishman) and Logan (the bus driver) got back at 5:15am. Welcome to Arequipa!!
