Today really tested the motorhome, engine and transmission. The distance from Kamloops to Vancouver is 200 miles and there are two roads-the highway or the willy wack way (which is 1 1/2 hours longer) but not as hilly!!!
We chose the highway and the first 120 miles was a real test with numerous 6,7 and 8% grades-some short but most very long (7 to 9 miles long). The old saying of what goes up must come down certainly applied today. It was slow going and Frank did not push the motor or transmission and the motorhome did just fine. This road is through some pretty steep mountains into deep valley's. We attached a picture!!
We are now in Vancouver for a week and attached is a picture of our campsite. This is a very nice campground that can accomodate any size rig. We have to leave our car in the parking lot, as does everyone else, since the sites are a little tight. We got on in one swing with no problems.
Enjoy!!
