The roads from Border City to Delta Junction were not nearly as bad today, thank goodness. We were surprised to see ice still in some of the rivers. We made it to Delta Junction and went to the welcome station and took the pictures at the famous end of the highway sign. It felt GREAT! :-) We also paid a dollar for the certificate saying you have driven the Alaska Highway signed by the people at the welcome station.
We are staying at the Green Acres RV Park for the price of $31.50 a night with full hookups and Wi-Fi. We made a much needed trip to the IGA Grocery store for a few items and on the way we saw two moose on the side of the road. Now this is what we love and that makes all the bumps on the way worth it. :-) We will rest here for a couple of days and move on to the Fairbanks area to wait for the arrival of our daughter Vickie. We are so looking forward to having her spend a week with us. More later from Fairbanks.
