We made it to Indiana!
We didn't think we'd make it all the way to the rally site today, but we did. So we're now in the eastern time zone in Goshen, IN. Our friends, Jan and Charles, from California were here to greet us and show us where our campsite was..... right next to theirs.
We were exhausted as we had driven further than we expected and hit a bad storm on the way for about an hour south of Chicago. Jan made us each a plate of food from the evening's pot luck dinner that we missed, handed us a drink and we were set. It's nice to have such good friends.
It was fun to catch up with them about their trip here, as well as meet up with some friends from our Texas club, The Texas Freedom Streamers. It's nice being so far from home but with friends.
Tomorrow we register for the rally and start the week long activities. Tonight we're weathering out a thunderstorm and relaxing by watching a DVD. It's good to be in Indiana and staying in one place for a while.
