Wow! Looks like it was designed for it, huh!

Forest Lake is in the suburbs of the hamlet of Advance, NC, within 1/4 mile of the Yadkin River in Davidson County. It was about a 2 hour drive from Raleigh.

We left at about 9:30 AM, instead of our standard 2 PM departures. It was an easy trip.

We had two stops on the way, in Greensboro. Bob has shamed me (Gary) into buying a new ice chest. On the previous evening, Thursday, I searched Raleigh to find a Coleman steel belted ice chest, to no avail. Thursday eve, Bernadette and I went to REI, here in Raleigh and asked if they had one at their store. They were out of stock and I asked if there was one in their Cary store. Again, no dice, but they did say that they had one in their Greensboro store.

So, we set off on Friday morning with a big purchase in mind. So much for our "free" weekend. We first stopped at the Greensboro Gander Mountain store, that was on the way to the REI store. No luck at Gander Mountain. By the way, if you have never been to a Gander Mountain store, it is a poor man's Bass Pro Shop (a real poor man's).

So, off we went to REI and found our quarry. The picture, attached, shows the fit and looks of our galley.

Anyway, we continued on toward Forest Lake, but by that time, it was about lunch time, so we drove down toward Lexington and had to stop at the many BBQ joints there.

We drove in at about 1:30 PM and signed in and picked our site, D-6, (see the map). If you look close, you can see our site, in area D. If you follow the entrance in, then make the first right, and then make the first left, just past the buildings, then make another right into Area "D". Our site is the third one on the right.
