| After a very restful night in our cozy home, it’s time to attack the gardens. David gets his blower and begins to remove the layers of leaves from the gardens. I work carefully around our irises and other perennials. David will continue to work on the gardens while I’m gone to NY. At noon it was time to get cleaned up and head to Jeremy’s home to pick up Amber for our NY adventure. After we played with Alex for a bit we loaded Amber into the car and headed to New Haven. We stayed at our friend’s home, John and Reen, who live near the train station. It’s always such a pleasure to visit. We all agreed that it seems as though we were just together a few weeks prior even though it has really been a year. Soon after we arrived Amber took a walk with Reen through the woods and to a pond. It was buggy so they didn’t stay gone for long. Amber then helped Reen prepare a delicious dinner. It was nice to visit and have them get to know Amber. That night Amber and I had visions of the New York skyline dancing in our heads. |
