Nice, newer multi-family housing along Lake Superior
| On Friday, we drove from Two Rivers, WI to Marquette, MI … not much to see along the way, but we were very impressed by Marquette: the downtown commercial and residential areas were very nice including beautiful new and old housing; Lake Superior was spectacular; and the trail system in and around town was extensive …we went for a nice run from the campround along the lake. We enjoyed having the city-owned campground almost to ourselves. We drove the scenic loop in Presque Isle Park, and we saw a pileated woodpecker … very cool!; unfortunately, he was too quick for the camera. |
