043008 We woke up this morning to wind and when Greg went out with his morning coffee to see what the world looked like, he saw white caps on the lake. This is noteworthy because it is not a huge lake.
We decided that since we needed diesel again (that truck seems to have a bottomless fuel tank) we would run into the nearest town called Emery (30 miles away) as there was a Wall Mart with a Murphy’s. For those of you who are in the eastern half of the US, Murphy’s generally has the cheapest gas and diesel around and if you get a Wall Mart gift card, they give you an extra 3 cents per gallon off of their already (relatively) low gas or diesel. This may not sound like much but when you are driving 40 thousand miles a year (like we currently are) this can add up.
We stopped off at a little hole in the wall joint for lunch called “Oasis”. It is a Tex-Mex café and we had a great lunch of Burrito’s and salad. The food was really good and the price ended up to be $22.00 including tip. We went away happy and figuring we offset some of the diesel fuel we had to get.
