Stone Mountain Carving

Stone Mountain Carving in Lower center.

Feb 20 with coworkers Dan Brady and Ron Keene I flew to Atlanta to do an audit of Menlo Worldwide's NCR operations there.

Like many of our trips it is a hotel to work trip on a daily basis with breakfast at the hotel and lunch and dinner out.

While travelling with my coworkers is a hoot, I think the highlight of this trip will be visiting with my friends Karen and Mark who both used to live in Portland and now live here and work here for Georgia Pacific.

We are getting together on Saturday for Dinner at PF Changs.

Friday after work was finished Ron and I went to See "Million Dollar Baby" and late went to Ruth's Chris for dinner.

Saturday we were tourists. We went to downtown Atlanta to the Coke Museum. We didn't do the museum tour, just bought some stuff at the gift shop, we saw the entrances to the underground, but it is mostly shopping, so we avoided it. We went to Centennial Olympic Park and to Hard Rock for Lunch. On the way back to the Hotel we stopped at Stone Mountain and walked up. I crested it with Ron. It was his first trip and my third. We were told at the top the the elevation there is 900 feet. I am sure it is more like 9000. (my lungs sure felt like it).

Like I stated above I had dinner Saturday with my Portland friends who live here, Karen and Mark. We went to PF Chang's but the wait was 90 minutes so we ended up eating next door at a brew pub. It is always fun to catch up with old friends we had a good visit.
