Scott and Sam with Opera House at Sydney Harbour

They Guys just under the Sydney Bridge at the Harbour

Darling Harbour

Hyde Park

We woke up early and packed for our journey to Sydney. We got to the airport earlier than expected but got access to the business lounge since Dad was traveling in style again. The lounge gave us internet access after many days of none. We were able to update the online journal with our text activities. Our flight was delayed a bit but we ran into some Lockheed friends.

We arrived in Sydney and travel by taxi to the Mariott Sydney Harbour. The hotel is fabulous and we loved Syndey immediately. Our room wasn't quite ready so we stored our luggage and began our journey. We started at the Circular Quary (the main harbour) with views of the Opera House. The weather was perfect, sunny skies and 70. We walked around the harbour and walked under the main bridge. We walked through The Rocks (street vendors and cafe's) and then headed to Darling Harbour. From there through Hyde Park and back to the hotel. This sounds like just a little but we walked for about 4 hours.

The room was ready and up we went. As we look out our window, we see the Sydney Harbour and Opera House, unbelievable! We have access to the Executive Lounge with has hot breakfast, cocktail hour each evening (mom and dad like this) with heavy hors d'oeuvres, desserts after that and drinks anytime during the day. They have wireless internet there so Scott is VERY happy.

We met Dad's work friends in the Executive lounge for drinks and hung out for the evening. We have gotten caught up with picture loads, journal website and email. We are trying to plan out our days here. Tomorrow is a BOYS day....stay tuned.

Sending our "good day mates" to you all. Life is good "down under".
