We caught an early bus this morning from Puno (7-30am) to Copacabana in Bolivia. We were a little worried about crossing the border as buses from Peru can’t cross the border but it was all fine! We got to the border in 2 and a half hours, went through Peru immigration then walked through the arch into Bolivia where we got another stamp just as easily! We were then put in a mini bus for the 15 minute drive to Copacabana! All much easier than we thought!
Our hotel here is lovely and really inexpensive! As I type this from our lovely hotel room I am looking over Lake Titicaca where the sun is slowly setting, just amazing views. We went and had lunch today and it cost us £4 which was a bargain, we couldn’t believe it! We are planning to stay here 5 or 6 nights to chill out before heading to Lima then Quito before starting our 7 day trip to the Galapagos Islands. Lots to do here and we can’t wait! Hiking, cycling and visiting the floating islands are high on our list so stay tuned for more adventures!!!
