While I have been here I have met a lad whom I met in Auckland YHA. Him, his 2 friends and me headed out with Captain Tama's crew for a day of snorkeling. The sea is so clear hear and warm that the snorkeling is great. We saw lots of tropical fish in our time in the water. When it was time for lunch we headed for a small island just off Rarotonga where the crew cooked a traditional lunch of fish, bananas and onions together with other fruits on an open fire. Delicious. They then put on a show of coconut pealing and extraction of the cream, a good form of moisturiser btw. We then were entertained by the art of Sarong tying using 2 helpful female models from the crowd. They then did some not so traditional knots on the partners of the female models. When they were both asked to close their eyes and keep them shut no matter what happened was of course when the fun really started. Good sports.

We finished off the day by sampling the wednesday nightlife. Not too busy but we found enough places to keep us amused.
